Canoe on Loch Lomond
Explore the jewels in the crown of Loch Lomond – its historic islands by canoe and on foot.
This is a wonderful introduction to the loch and islands, which offers stunning views with Ben Lomond as the backdrop.
Starting from picturesque village of Aldochlay near Luss, you will get the chance to explore the islands of world famous Loch Lomond in Canadian-style canoes – these boats can be rafted together to create a stable platform and to eliminate the risk of capsize, which means that they are suitable for all. Each raft would hold 4 people.
You will be under the watchful eyes of our experienced local guides, offering canoeing tips as you go, and information about what you see on your journey. We rest our paddles on one of the loch’s most isolated island beaches and enjoy a hot drink and shortbread, before enjoying a gentle stroll to the summit to take it the breathtaking scenery from a totally different perspective and learn more about the loch and its legends on the way.  If you’re lucky, you might just catch a glimpse of the resident wallabies on the island of Inchconnachan. Surely, that would be a story for you to tell when you get home!
