Experienced Multi-Activity Instructor – Loch Tay, Perthshire
Pay range (based on previous experience and qualifications)
Lead Instructor: £24,500 – £25,500 pro rata, 42.5 hours
Senior Instructor: £25,500 – £27,500 pro rata, 42.5 hours
We are ideally looking for someone with experience in managing a small team, day-to-day activities on-site at Loch Tay Highland Lodges and off-site activity locations nearby. However, this is not essential.
A range of qualifications are required for multi-activity instructor posts. Open canoeing and gorge walking are our two most popular activities so proven experience in these areas are most desirable. We also offer archery, axe-throwing, river tubing, and paddle-boarding sessions, so any experience in these activities would also be very useful.

Key Instructor Tasks
- Facilitate safe and fun activity experiences for our customers
- Ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues at all times
- Assist with equipment inspection, repair and maintenance
- Keep equipment stores and vehicles clean, tidy and in working order
- Identify improvements to operating procedures and risk assessments.
- Safe driving of customers and equipment around the country
- Generating Social Media content in line with company guidelines
- Cross selling our products / other locations
Lead Instructor Job Role
As per Instructor job description, plus:
- Be an exemplar of best practice and customer service for other instructors to follow
- Have at least two qualifications from Canoe 4 Star (or equivalent), ML, SPA/RCI, L2, Mountain Bike Leader
- Show a willingness and ability to take a leadership role when working in a team with other instructors
- Show initiative when it comes to finding jobs that need doing
Senior Instructor Job Role
- As per Instructor and Lead Instructor, plus:
- Organise and prioritise the workload of self and other instructors
- Work out complex programmes and logistics plans, and communicate these effectively to all relevant staff
- Ensure all activities and venues are risk assessed before use
- Mentoring, coaching and monitoring of Instructors and Trainee Instructors
- Ensure cleaning and maintenance of equipment, stores and vehicles is carried out
- Demonstrate high professional standards and set an excellent example to other members of the team

We can be very flexible on the duration of summer contracts to suit your personal circumstances & would consider everything from 2 months (July & August) to 7 months.

TreeZone Ropes Course Instructor – Loch Lomond
TreeZone Loch Lomond are now advertising posts for instructor roles at its Loch Lomond Aerial Adventure Course.
Pay
- £10.50 – £10.90 per hour depending on previous experience
- Contracts from 16-30 hours a week
- Contracts from 3 months to 8 months

Responsibilities:
- Facilitate safe and fun experiences for our customers
- Ensure all course participants complete an acknowledgement/ disclaimer form and comply with company rules on height, weight, age, medical conditions etc.
- Ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues
- Maintain the security and cleanliness of the site, cabin and equipment
- Carry out regular checks of the course and PPE and record any findings in the specified way
- Perform maintenance tasks as required for the operation of the site
- Ensure details of any accidents, significant incidents and rescues are recorded
- Take bookings and enquiries on the telephone and in person
- Ensure all cash, cheque and credit card payments are completed according to company procedures
- Occasionally lead In Your Element activity sessions for which you are qualified, if required
