We’d like to end the year on a high and share some of the best reviews we’ve received from customers who joined us on multi-day adventure holidays. There were lots of reviews, so picking the best ones was no mean feat, but we think the following sum up all the good bits from the Adventure Holidays that we run for Much Better Adventures’ customers.  See what you think.

Canoe 100km Across Scotland – The Great Glen Canoe Trail

Cross Scotland from Fort William in the west, to Inverness in the east along the Caledonian Canal.

What’s so good about it?

  • Traverse 100km of flat water and experience the Great Glen Trail on a long-distance canoe adventure across Scotland
  • Cross the legendary Loch Ness and pretend that you’re not secretly looking for monster
  • Wild camp at remote and beautiful spots along the way surrounded by some of the UK’s highest mountains

Spellbound Highlands

Profoundly beautiful. I cannot begin to tell you how much this trip was worth it.

My group was varied personalities and really lovely. I was so nervous, as a first-time solo female traveller, but everyone I met in Inverness was kind, helpful and friendly. Everyone on the trip is there to enjoy the holiday and canoe. We all fit together naturally and your host really helps to integrate everyone without stress.

Luke our host, is an incredible person, I’ve learnt a lot from him, not only how to canoe and wild camp, but also upon reflection, about life. He is a great chef , good fun, rad historian and such a vibe. 😎

I’ll takeaway so many things from this trip for a lifetime.

There are so many colours and textures which make up the water of a great Loch. Or learning to map constellations sitting by a roaring fire. Sipping coffee and watching the dawn break. Really laughing with once strangers, now friends. Pitching a tent for the first time. Sailing amongst the waves. So many portage experiences. Majestic Rams, otters and dragonflies.

It is a genuine honour and privilege to have been on this trip. I am so glad I took the plunge and went for it, you will not regret it!

Epic trip!

Epic trip! Fully exceeded our expectations, Scott our tour guide was top notch and delivered some outstanding 3 course meals each evening, I ate better here than I do at home. The scenery was beautiful, camping was great so much fun. All around 10/10! If you’re in 2 minds weather to book just book it, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing adventure!

The 5 days on and around the Isle of Skye were a magical experience! The scenery is simply incredible and the trip was really fun. Scott, our guide, was very competent and attentive and was able to quickly adapt the trip to weather conditions, so that we could enjoy the full experience in safety. Not to mention his incredible cooking skills! I could not recommend this trip more. It is a real opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of every day life.

Kayak and Wild Camp The West Coast of Scotland

What’s so good about it?

  • Paddle along stunning volcanic coastline, and wild camp on white sand beaches and islet-studded sea lochs

Amazing!

The trip was all I hoped for and more! It was sufficiently challenging yet enjoyable and fun, the guide was fantastically knowledgeable and talented, the meals were unbelievable and the company great. Even the weather turned out great despite the grim forecast. We had some showers which was cool for some very atmospheric photography. The sunsets. The sunrises. The wildlife. Still sorting out the million of photos and already feeling like I need to do it again!
