Get ‘In Your Element’ with our watersports

Here at In Your Element, we’ve been providing amazing outdoor experiences since 2004, so we know a thing or two about exploring Scotland’s blue spaces and the amazing restorative qualities that comes with being near and experiencing water.

Our outdoor activity bases are in some of the most wondrous places our country has to offer: Inverness and Loch Ness, Aviemore and the Cairngorms National Park, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and Loch Tay.

Our goal is to help you discover the fantastic Scottish outdoors in a fun, safe and active way. You don’t have to have previous experience in outdoor sports to try our activities: our experienced instructors will show you the ropes. So, whether you fancy an adrenalin rush or a relaxing activity in some tranquil Scottish water, here are just a few ways that you can give your well-being a welcome boost with IYE this year!

Paddle your cares away with some stand-up paddleboarding

Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing watersports in the UK and, to no surprise, is one of In Your Elements newest and fastest-growing sports too. It’s a great activity, regardless of their water experience.

Whilst it takes a bit of practice – and patience – to get off your wobbly knees, our experienced guides will help you every step of the way. Once you master the board your cares will just sail away on the stunning waters of Loch Lubnaig.

Test your balance with our gorge walking

Gorge walking is an excellent way to fully submerge yourself in water wellness (it’s definitely not one to choose if you shy away from getting wet)! For this activity, we will kit you out with a wetsuit, helmet and buoyancy aid. Our guides will then take you to explore some of the most magnificent outdoor water venues in Scotland. You will explore streams, waterfalls, deeper pools and even go down some rockslides.

If you prefer something more challenging, we offer more advanced gorge sessions that involve more whitewater, bigger jumps and slides and some wild swimming. Wild swimming is another excellent way to improve your wellness through the water. Once you’ve become accustomed to the cold and crisp Scottish waters, you will undoubtedly feel a sense of calm wash over you, leaving you feeling invigorated for your next challenge with us.
