Kickstart a conversation in your school wherever you are on World Ocean Day. June 8th, 2018.
More people are talking about the ocean than ever this year and if you want to be part of starting an even bigger conversation in schools across the UK through, get involved in World Ocean Day.
The Wild Network have designed a school toolkit that is fun, curriculum linked, and has activities for your school to use to celebrate World Ocean Day. Children can learn more about our blue planet and their connection with the ocean.
The Wild Network have joined together with leading organisations that share our love of the ocean, rivers and estuaries and have designed three different ways a school can get involved. It’s about having fun and starting a conversation.
Want to be part of the mission or know of any schools that might? Find out more and register your interest here.
Ps. Did you know that every second breath you take is oxygen generated by the Ocean? Or that when it’s raining in the UK, it’s quite likely come from the Ocean? Or that the Ocean is 10,972 metres deep?
