An amazing experience! Our guide was knowledgable, friendly and put everyone at ease. The canoes were well equipped and felt safe. Loch Ness is incredible to canoe on. We even stopped to get out on the beach and had hot chocolate! I would highly recommend doing this if you want to explore Loch Ness!

We did the canoe explorer tour with Stewart and had a really great time. He was informative and engaging, and we stopped at a beautiful hidden waterfall for a hot drink and a biscuit. Equipment was all in great shape, and we were lucky to have good weather. Would recommend!

Absolutely amazing 100k Canoe Across Scotland with wild camping. This was booked as I wanted a challenging experience for my birthday! Our guide Natasha was brilliant from start to finish. Very knowledgeable, friendly, chatty, helpful nothing was too much trouble for her and how she managed to make such amazing food in an outdoor kitchen is beyond belief. We had quite a mix of weather, sunny spells, cloud, rain, wind, thunderstorms. None of this made it any less enjoyable, in fact the strong wind and high waves on Loch Ness made for an exciting day! We got the sails out and later had to raft 2 canoes together for more stability, hard work but great fun. We camped at some lovely places along the way and beautiful varied scenery along the canals and lochs. Portering the canoes and all equipment around the lock gates especially at Fort Augustus can take a bit of time. I would like to say a big thank you not only to Natasha (our guide), but also the 5 ex commandos that completed the group and made our adventure more interesting!!! Would happily recommend this trip to anyone that enjoys a bit of outdoor adventure.

100k Canoe Across Scotland - Amazing It was a fantastic experience with a great guide and great food. The lochs and canals are beautiful. The small group dynamics worked well. It was a hard trip, with long days of paddling, but it was worth the challenge. The wild camping locations were pretty. The hardest part was getting out, unloading the canoes, carrying them, and then repacking them at each loch gate - that was very tiring. Toilet stops at each gate was really appreciated lol. Sailing a canoe was a new experience - when the wind got strong on Loch Ness, we got to put up sails to go faster. The food the guide cooked was fantastic. He (Adian) was funny, friendly, and concerned about the environment - having us check for other people's rubbish at each camp site - it was great.

Great trip even though wet We look a canoe trip with on of their guides and one other in 2 Canadian canoes along the Loch at Forest Holidays Strathyre . Guide was great and the scenery was too.

Superb trip: great organisation and delivery I have just returned from an IYE canoeing adventure from Fort William to Inverness, with seven friends. It was a fantastic experience: superbly organised and delivered by our guide Andy Russell and the IYE team. I was hugely impressed with the thought behind and safety of the trip, particularly the care taken to select breathtaking camping spots, and actually the attention to detail for every aspect! Andy, in particular was outstanding: reliable and organised, of course, a knowledgeable and inspiring guide who made all the right decisions, and an absolutely first class chef across all four nights. He was also just great company. We will recommend IYE widely!

Awesome Team Searched on TripAdvisor for reliable vendor for guided canoeing experience, eventually narrowed down to In Your Element as they had the date available in early April, turns out our activity was the first of the season. Cut the story short, I was staying in Inverness and didn't realised how inaccessible public transport was to get to Fort Augustus (meeting point) by 10am, Calum at the IYE office was fantastic, he helped to contact the rest of the guests on the same activity to seek agreement to push back the start time by 15mins, saving me to miss the activity which was the highlight of my trip to Scotland. Our guide Jack was friendly and helpful, the canoes look new and well maintained. Though the weather was cloudy with slight rain, overall it was still a memorable experience canoeing on Loch Ness!

This company was entirely unreliable. We booked a kayaking tour of the Loch Ness 3 months in advance. I communicated with the company via email to ensure we had the right equipment. We showed up the morning of the tour in the stated location, and no one from the company arrived. I called and they indicated there had been some “mix up” because they had a large corporate booking the day prior and did not have any available staff. Regardless of other activities at the company, if someone booked a tour, that commitment should be fulfilled or notice should be given far in advance. Given that there are only so many days in a vacation, having a tour cancelled that you planned for can significantly disrupt your day. The tour company refunded us, but did not seem sympathetic in the least.

Highly recommended. Easy booking process, really friendly staff and an amazing way to see nature that otherwise would be untouchable.

We took a family trip at the end of April 2022 and my sister planned a bunch of wild outings for us to do. The 2 hour trip we did with Colin was my favorite one! The area is absolutely stunning - we had a cloudy day and it was still fantastic. We came with a few inexperienced canoers but they eventually got the hang of it and had a blast. If/When we come back, this is a MUST for me! Take a trip, you won't regret it! (There is a bunch of go pro videos my sister took too but this picture is one my dad took from the bank)

I had such an amazing time on the 5 day canoe and wild camping trip from Fort William to Inverness with our amazing guide Matt. He was so so friendly right from the start and went through everything with the group and answered everyone's questions. He also made sure everyone's paddling technique was correct! He is so knowledgeable and passionate and made sure everyone was happy throughout the trip. He also made us 3 course meals everyday even when it was pouring down with rain and he was very thoughtful about the meals. They were healthy and delicious! Thank you so much Matt for this wonderful fun experience.

Thanks to Matt our amazing and inspiring leader for our 5 days of canoeing from Inverness to Fort William down the lochs and canals. What a fantastic experience we had learning lots along the way, testing our strength in the canoes (especially when pushing against the wind and waves) and during the portages. Loved the wild camping - absolutely awesome locations with stunning views; you could not beat waking up to a view of a loch and hills. My friend Gill and I joined with some trepidation as to whether our ages (60yrs) would mean we would struggle with the challenge but WE DID IT!! Everyone in our group worked as a team despite not having met before and canoed through all weathers. Food was ample and we were amazed to be provided with three course evening meals of high quality given the locations. Both of us now planning next adventures! Thanks to all at In Your Element!

Totally brilliant! 10 friends just back from a 3 day canoe trip on the Spey with Mike as our guide. I had been recommended to In Your Element by a friend who had promised we would be well looked after and we certainly were! None of us had done a trip like this before so there were lots of questions before hand about transport, timings, kit, weather, camping locations (you name it, we had a question!) Brenda and Callum couldn't have been more knowledgeable and were always on hand to help. We took the Caledonian Sleeper and were met in Aviemore by Mike and some of his team who had all of the canoeing and camping kit required. The weekend could not have run more smoothly. The canoes and camping kit were all in excellent condition and Mike had planned the perfect itinerary given what we were looking for on our trip. Mike's guidance and regular briefings about the river and rapids were reassuring and made for a really fun experience on the water. The wild camping was a real highlight as it was such a beautiful spot on an island in the river with space for a great evening around the camp fire. We will be booking another trip with IYE soon. 🙂

Scott and Matt took us on the trip of a lifetime, could not recommend In Your Element enough. Friendly knowledgeable guides, tasty (plentiful) food, beautiful wild camping spots - what a perfect trip and can't wait for my next adventure 😃

Gorge walking is our new favourite thing to do!!! Great afternoon gorge walking in Culloden. Our guide Colin was fab and ensured we all had an amazing experience. If you're in the area this is a must!

Great fun We stayed at Loch Tay highland lodges and one of the main reasons was you could book activities to keep us busy whilst there for the 5 nights. We pretty much did everything they had on offer Canoe tour 🛶 We did this with Giles as our guide, he’s a great guy and we where the only ones booked on that morning which made it very personal Archery class 🏹 There was 7 of us on this with Tim so a bit of waiting around but a good laugh none the less Segway tour ⚙️ Again we ended up being the only ones on this with Giles, which was great as we got going a lot quicker, this is so much fun I laughed all the way We hired a boat for the day 🚤 At one point we where the only ones on the Loch that we could see, so peaceful and the sun can out! Paddle boarding 🏄‍♂️ We hired paddlebards and wet suites for 3 hours, the sun came out we paddled round to a little beach and back really good fun All the activities were great fun, the staff where lovely. If you are staying at Loch Tay get a few things booked as something to look forward to

Gorge scrambling Culloden Went Gorge scrambling at Culloden. So easy to book, really friendly staff, all equipment provided, and catered to all levels. Amazing way to see nature otherwise untouched and such a fun start to NC500.

Great canoeing on Loch Ness Went canoeing with a group from work, Scott was friendly and helpful and put some of the more nervous team members at ease on the water. Saw Loch Ness from a different angle than the roadside. Great fun, and a cup of tea too!

Amazing gorge walking experience What an amazing experience this was. Colin the guide was fabulous and gave us lots of local knowledge and introduced us to the gorge and it’s many amazing and interesting features. The gorge walking was brilliant. We had the opportunity to jump into deep water and slide down a waterfall. It was exciting and exhilarating and such a pleasure to be guided by Colin. He encouraged us to make the jumps and I’m glad he did as we would have regretted not doing them. We did the jumps again we enjoyed them so much. I have already booked to do it again next week. Great adventure, kayaking on Loch Ness Kayaking on Loch Ness, we had a great morning taking in the views on Loch Ness, great family adventure enjoyed by all, although I was shattered at the end but that is just a reflection on my fitness level. Our guide, Matt, was brilliant, the right amount of information given, humour and making sure all members of our group were ok. Would definitely recommend this trip.

Breathtaking highland experience. One of the best experiences I've had, the guides were excellent, they made it easy and really really enjoyable and fun. The scenery was breath taking, the food good and the company even better. I cannot recommend this trip or the people highly enough.

Greta fun and enjoyment for all ages. We arranged for archery and canoeing at Ardgarten for our three grandchildren and their mum and they had an absolutely fantastic time. Made all the better with Kyle their instructor who went above and beyond to make sure they had a great time. I would highly recommend the experience.

GREAT experience for first time on the Loch Ness!!!!! We did canoeing on the Loch Ness with Scott D as our guide and it was FANTASTIC. Well well worth the price and such a great experience. Scott was an excellent guide and made sure to try and talk with everyone in the group. He gave a lot of great information about Scotland, the local area, the Loch Ness, etc. Pretty much the PERFECT guide! He even remembered that it was my birthday and bought me a special cupcake!! We only had one day to spend on the Loch Ness and we are so glad that we did this tour. I hope one day they offer a longer tour like an all day one with lunch and coffee breaks on islands included.

Fantastic fun experience for all the family! Our instructor Scott took our family of six out on a fun paddle on Loch Ness. Even our younger two (age 5 and 7) had their own paddles and felt part of the experience! Loch Ness is beautiful and we had the weather on our side. Scott was super friendly and full on info. He gave us clear instructions that we all could follow easily. Definitely recommend!!

A breathtaking experience on Loch Ness We, a family of 4, had the pleasure to spend a morning with Colin and Aiden on Loch Ness for a canoe experience We were extremely lucky with the weather and the Loch was calm and like in a movie. But we were also extremely lucky with our instructors Colin and Aiden. Colin is very experienced and knows so many things about the lake and about canoeing. Aiden was newer to the job, but by no mean a rookie. Both were very friendly, helpful and fun to be around. They showed us the hidden waterfalls and took pictures of us as a family. The experience on the lake was simply amazing. It felt like we were the only one in the world. Thanks to Colin and Aiden, I would definitely recommend them!

Canoeing with Colin My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience canoeing on Loch Ness. Colin was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting facts and figures about the history of Loch Ness. It was my first time canoeing and he was very patient and gave good instruction for beginners.

Loch Ness Canoeing with Colin. Last week me and my partner did canoing on Loch Ness with Colin. Definitely recommend the taster session as we were worried it would be too short but it was perfect!! Colin was very knowledgeable in using the canoes, the history of Loch Ness & be made it very fun and interesting!! They take photos free of charge which is great as the boats are very wobbly and you don’t want to drop your phone. Personalised the trip to all participants. Nice and easy. Would definitely do this again if we return in the future. A great activity for your trip.

Great experience for adults and kids .

“Best day ever” according to our 9 year old son. He loved every minute of it and would quite happily have gone again. Took up approximately 2 hrs and was very well run by friendly, professional staff. I walked the trail under the arial course with our dog so I was pleased that the dog got a bit of exercise too.

We had a fantastic hours archery tuition with the added bonus of there just being me and my wife. The instructor Kyle was great. Patient, knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely interested in us. By the end of the session we'd both improved. Brilliant fun. This was at Loch Long in the grounds of Forest Holidays.

As a 28 year old couple we were concerned that the the gorge walking might be more suitable for families and young children but our expectations were blown out the water (literally)! We were in a group with 2 adventure loving families and had a fantastic time with our guide Colin full of adrenaline pumping moments. Would highly recommend this for anyone, just make sure you’re of a decent fitness level as there were challenging parts! Want to do it all over again. Thanks so much!

Brilliant to be back at TreeZone. The staff was as usual super professional and helpful. Everything felt very safe - from covid and from the activity! My 10 year old missed this over the last two years and was so thrilled to be back and staff remembered him which is testimonial to attention staff pays to attendees and made the experience even more special for him. A great way to spend a couple of hours a great solo or with a group. In a site full of other potential activities food and beautiful scenery👍

We had a fantastic few sessions this week with In your Element. We did Segway in Aviemore and the Gorge Walking in Culloden both were awesome - fantastic team and great fun days out! Highly recommend!

I am scared of heights, and the staff were wonderful with me at the Tree Top Challenge. Encouraged me all the way . I finished on a high after facing a life long fear! Really wonderful day. Daughter loved it.

Great day out at Lomond Shores at Treezone for nervous Mum with 2 young teens. Felt very safe and staff very helpful. Would recommend for first timers as the harness follows you all the way round the course without having to change it between obstacles.

My 8 year old son completed both stages and absolutely loved it !! I am waiting on a MRI scan on my back so couldn’t join him, I just followed them around the courses on the ground encouraging him all the way. I feel this has gave him more confidence to achieve things on this own. May I say the staff were fantastic, reassuring and definitely know there stuff.

I was at Treezone Loch Lomond with my two children of 8 and 12 years old. We had no prior experience and had a fantastic time. The instructors were very nice giving advise and great instruction from start to finish. My kids said it was awesome and that had a blast. Highly recommend, an excellent way to spend two hours of quality time together.

We had 4 kids attend the tree zone activity. The staff are all very friendly, helpful and patient- we had an 8 year old who was a little scared but the staff helped and guided her through the course. I would definitely recommend this activity. It’s fun, challenging and rewarding for kids and adults alike.

We highly recommend a Treezone/In your Element experience. The whole family (2 adults and 2 kids aged 8 and 13) had a fantastic time. The staff was amazing: friendly, helpful and very skilled and professional. Brilliant for some resilience building, nice views from the second course and lots of fun. Massive thank you to the team in Balloch for a couple of hours filled with a sense of adventure!

An Epic Adventure! We had an afternoon of Gorge Swimming with Colin at Bridge of Brown and it was utterly amazing. As a group of 8 friends, on a clearly swollen river, in winter, there was some trepidation. Colin was an absolute legend though; clear instruction, answered all our questions and gave us great advice. All the equipment we required was supplied and was top notch. We were in the water for the perfect amount of time. Everyone came out exhausted, but exhilarated. Can't recommend giving this a go enough. Many thanks to Colin and In Your Element. An experience we all agree we'll never forget!

Wonderful canoe on Loch Ness! We did a Guided Canoe Taster with our guide Collin and it was fantastic! Collin was extremely knowledgable about Loch Ness and gave us great information during the trip. The activity was very easy going and relaxing and towards the end we were paddling against the current as a fun challenge. Collin also gave us a ton of recommendations for things to do in the Loch Ness area. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to the Loch Ness region!

Amazing canoeing experience on Loch Ness with Gavin We did a canoeing tour along the Loch Ness with Gavin. It was incredible! It felt like we were the only people there- canoeing is definitely a great way to get a real feel for the famous lake. We got lucky and had fantastic, clear weather and were able to reach the waterfalls - roughly 40 mins paddling from Fort Augustus. Definitely one of our top highlights from our Highlands trip!

Amazing 100km Canoe tour! I have just come back from the 100km canoe tour provided by In your Element and hosted by our guide, Colin. This was a truly excellent adventure. We were provided with all the equipment you might need and not only is Colin an expert guide on almost every single sport/activity you can imagine, but he's also a fantastic chef! 3-course meals every night on the edge of a beautiful Loch. It doesn't get much better than that. I would highly recommend this adventure to anyone and everyone!

Loch Tay explorer Half day Hired the explorer boat for 3 hours on Tuesday 21st on Loch Tay. Richie showed us how to use the bit and was very informative. Clean boat and the views all around the loch and surrounding areas were fantastic. My 1 year old decided to have an hour nap while my 3 year old sat on my knee steering the boat. 100km Great Glen Canoeing What a fantastic canoeing and wild camping experience. Hard to describe in words. Everything was organised so well, stunning scenery and proper scottish weather. A big thank you to our guide Colin, who made this amazing trip EPIC!!

Perfect nature trip in Scotland 100km canoe trip across Scotland: The sheer amount of smooth organization for our trip through wavey, windy and rainy lochs was amazing! Meeting a person who is doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing is very rare - but our guide Colin was one of them! He was able to steer us through difficult water, explain every animal, vegetation or sports questions we had. Food, equipement, organization and guide of In Your Element was on point! Thank you Colin for being one of us while showing us the way. To watch him excel in his Element was just as amazing as the scenery around us. What an adventure to have with the greatest people in our group! Cheers to us and knowing when to rudder or side sweep 🙂

Unforgettable experience Can't describe how brilliant the great Glenn canoe trip was, it was such an amazing character building experience that I will never forget! Colin was the perfect guide with knowledge and expertise. The food was incredible and I took home memories I shall always cherish. I met an amazing group of people and could not recommend this trip more! Big shout out to Colin and I will certainly be heading out with IYE again!

5 day Scotland Canoe Expedition What an incredible experience! I do not know how else to describe this trip. Sending a very big thank you to Colin for your knowledge, support, personality and eagerness to create the experience that it was. From the get go, everything was well organised, prepped and executed seamlessly. We met some wonderful people and made new friends where together, we made it through the rough weather. It was a trip to remember and we will certainly be back to Scotland sooner than later! Thanks Captain Colin! 💪🚣🛶

Amazing experience Just come back from the 5 day canoe expedition up the great Glen and it was amazing. The views and surroundings are incredible. The guide Colin was incredibly knowledgeable about canoeing and the local area and kept us topped up with facts along the way. He certainly made the trip what is was!!

Be aware, this company does not offer refunds under any circumstances. My partner got a voucher for us to go into a gorge, we thought we could do this now but its not available until the summer, we will be out of Scotland by then, so £75 will be going down the drain for us. Will not be recommending this company to anyone, they don't offer the chance to change your mind in 2020 under any circumstances? disgraceful

Treezone is great fun, instructors are professional, kind and patient. Shame the final zip line was out of commission - bad timing for maintenance, last day of the school October break.

Myself and two daughters went to Tree Zone, Loch Lomond. Very professional, instructors explained everything fully with the course, equipment and the covid restrictions. Initially found the course challenging having not experienced this before, but once over a few obstacles, enjoyed every moment of the course. Jordan, one if the instructors was very patient and encouraging, especially when my youngest daughter struggled on some of the obstacles. We all enjoyed our experience, will definitely recommend this and will definitely be booking up again.

Myself and my family had a wonderful experience here yesterday. A challenging course, particularly for younger children but exciting and fun. Our instructor was very patient and encouraging and only had to talk me off the first ledge to get us going! It’s a shame the final zip line wasn’t in action as it looked the most fun. They called the last part an abseil but it’s really just an instructor lowering you to the ground since the zip line is out of action. We definitely recommend this, great value for money!

Took my daughter and 5 of her friends(ages from 8yrs to 12yrs) to treezone for her 11th birthday and they all had an absolute blast. All of the instructors were very professional especially the guy who took them around the course. He was very patient and helpful with all the kids at all times. Will visit again.

We had wonderful time and were looked after by very attentive and professional instructors. The tree experience is located in a beautiful forest ont he shores of Loch Lomond. Plenty of free parking, good briefing. The whole experience is split into two challenges. The easier first challange is a warm out and a confidence boost. The second challenge is a bit harder and way more fun. It is the lovely instructors that make this experiense a plain sailing. Cannot thank them enough for the brilliant time we had.

We went to treezone at Loch Lomond yesterday...the staff (Heather in particular) were great and helped my kids feel confident enough to enjoy the course! Felt very safe and kids loved it. Thank you!

Seven of us have just finished the Great Glen Canoe Trail, having hired a few canoes and a kayak from IYE. Despite being an admittedly disorganised group with a very last-minute booking, IYE were very flexible and were a great help throughout the trip! The booking required a fair few adjustments (our fault, not IYE's), yet they were helpful and very responsive throughout - sorry, I know it was a hassle... The kit was as expected, and Mike's pre-trip advice was useful throughout the trail. Still surprised at how cheap the hire turned out to be! Overall, an amazing trip! Thanks to Brenda, Natalie, and Mike for all their help and patience along the way! For anybody looking to paddle the GGCT, it's an incredible experience and some of the views are unparalleled - I'd definitely recommend using IYE for equipment hire!

Apart from picking the wettest day possible to give Treezone a go! We both really enjoyed our day! Was tough going in parts but the instructors are so patient & encouraging. I'll definitely be recommending Treezone to others for a great day out in Scotland!

A great day out and a very professional company, the staff are very friendly with lots of patience, and focus on safety. From reading reviews I realise now we might’ve been able to repeat the 1st course, but we weren’t given this option snd continued to the 2nd course which we really struggled with but eventually managed to complete. Altho I’m not sure that 2nd course did any good to improving my timid 10yr olds confidence.

My daughter and her friends had a fantastic day here on her 13th birthday. Well worth a visit, they all loved ❤ it. Definitely be back.

A Treemendous experience for my young 7 year old nephew, who loved all the obstacles on the courses, and I was impressed too by the staff professionalism, friendliness and value for money experience.

Visited today with my 11 year old daughter and we'd gladly go back. I'm a 46 year old male who has always had an irrational fear of heights despite being a regular flyer. I'm fearless otherwise and I've swam with man eating sharks amongst other things but I thought I'd try to beat my fears while letting my daughter experience something new. We both completed the smaller course but on the advice of the instructor she was advised to either do it again or call it a day as she was in tears some of the time. Obviously i wasnt going to attempt the larger course alone so we decided to leave. The man assisting us was superb tho (im sorry i forget his name) very patient and encouraging the whole time. They're a credit to the place as are the girls at the reception desk and numerous other staff on site. We'll definitely be back in future despite it being relatively traumatic 😂

Had a wonderful time here. The course was great, challenging but not impossible, the staff was phenomenal, and the safety system was top notch. You never had to detach yourself like some other places require - this made it very stressful free. Amazing views too!

We had an amazing time at Tree Zone, it’s such a great experience for kids and adults alike. Their safety procedures and rules were explained to us in detail, and questions were then asked, just to check our understanding. Once we had our safety harnesses fitted and safety cables attached to us, we were all set up & ready to go! Matt guided us around the Tree Zone course, offering his valuable advice and tips whenever we needed them, he definitely helped us conquer our fears! This course really is such good fun, we can’t recommend it enough. Go, try it for yourself, you definitely won’t be disappointed! Great time! I was lucky enough that it was quiet and didn't have to wait on people to get round the course. Helpful and friendly staff, a safe and well maintained environment, and altogether a lot of physical fun that will test your balance, coordination, and sometimes bravery!

Brilliant gorge walking We went gorge walking at Brig O’Turk with friends and family. Henry was a fantastic friendly and knowledgeable guide. After getting fully kitted out, we had a couple of hours of gorge walking and leaping into pools (from about 3m high). Our kids (12 and 14) loved it, as did all the adults. We’ll definitely be booking again.

Disappointing experience. Archery was overpriced for what you get,understand safety is of upmost importance but would have expected to shoot more than 18 arrows in one hour session.11 students and only 4 places to shoot from so shot 6 arrows and then waited for others to shoot before your go again. Instructor was excellent and very friendly but he could only work with time he had for the amount of people.

Tree top treat A fantastic way to spend times with my girls. The older two girls managed the whole course and my youngest ran the beginners course twice. The staff emphasized safety first and having a great time. It certainly left us with amazing memories.

Great activities to do with kids / teens We did five activities over four days with IYE while we were holidaying on Loch Long with our two teenage kids. We did Canoeing on Loch Lomond and Loch Long, Gorge Walking, Tree Zone and Archery. They were all brilliant! The instructors (Sammy and Kyle) were friendly, professional, knowledgable, fun and safety focussed. Would highly recommend. Thank you!

Fantastic canoe tour Had booked for Gorge walking which had to be cancelled due to safety reasons. We were offered a canoe tour of some of the Lochs islands instead. So glad we went ahead! We had a great afternoon with Kyle who was funny, informative and very engaging. He also gave us privacy at times, so was never overbearing. Well worth doing and an enjoyable way to burn a few calories 👍🏼 Hopefully get to do the gorge walking next time we’re in the area!

Brilliant Excellent day on Loch Lubnaig intro to SUP with their guide, Arran. I ran a fitness retreat in Strathyre for a group of 6 and we booked onto this as part of our adventure weekend. Communications from IYE were spot on on the lead up to the day, and their guide, Arran, was a brilliant instructor who got all of us (with our individual challenges) standing up on the boards. Arran was also a good laugh and went out his way to take photos of us on request which isn't a necessity for them to do. I will book on more activities with IYE again and highly recommend them. Beautiful, adventurous and fun day in nature I had no idea this outing was going to be so much fun! Our experience was at Bring O Turk. Our guide, Ryan, was amazing and my children said they felt so safe and comfortable with him. He was so fun and knowledgeable. We were jumping off high rocks and sliding down natural rock waterslides into waterfalls. One of our favorite parts was just gliding down the river on our backs floating. I was worried about getting cold but we were all fine until the very end of the hour. Fun experience for the whole family in a magical and beautiful setting.

Happy family We had a wonderful time … the location was idyllic, the guidance was superb ! Will definitely be re booking at some point

Canoeing fun Had the most amazing morning canoeing around the Loch Lomond islands under the guidance of the lovely Kyle. He is an absolute star, his knowledge of the area is fabulous, he is technically exceptionally competent and great company. The icing on the cake was seeing one of the elusive wallabies! A definite tick off the bucket list for two middle aged adventurers and a trip to be repeated next time we are in the area.

Our daughter recently had her birthday party at Treezone and everyone had a great time. It's a challenging course (for 9 & 10 year olds) but everyone managed round and had a fab time doing it 👍

Fun place for kids to go exploring in the trees. The staff were brilliant. Even on a wet day the kids had an absolute ball.

We traveled from San Diego and London for a family vacation at Loch Tay and the IYE team were the icing on the cake. We rented boats, kayaks, did a gorge walking tour (thanks Abby!) And threw Axes (thanks Calum!). They have a great setup, and kept us all entertained. I can't recommend highly enough.

Rentes sups here for an hour. Decided to add an extra hour, because one hour is a little too short and three hours is obviously too long for most people. However renting for two hours is conveniently not an option… so for two hours you pay big prize.. It is very expensive anyhow as its just renting a sup board but thats 2024 economy im afraid

Amazing Gorge Walking experience Had an amazing time gorge walking near Loch Tay! Aaron our guide was amazing and so knowledgeable about the routes and the local surroundings. It was like gorge walking and outdoor survival tips/skills all rolled into one. We had a party of mixed ages and mixed abilities and they catered for us perfectly. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

We had a superb day, taking part in two activities run by In Your Element at Loch Tay. My husband and teenage son did an archery session and both felt the tuition was so clear and informative that they both improved, and had a great time. My daughter and I did Gorge walking, and had the best time! We walked, scrambled, climbed, and crawled up waterfalls, rapids, rocks and river bed while laughing and learning the whole time. It was a joy from beginning to end, led by our excellent guide Aaron and Abby

Did the Katakanu as it was the only suitable activity for my 8 year old twins. We enjoyed being out on the loch and learning paddling skills. The girls called it their best day! Booking and getting on to the loch was straightforward and the staff were friendly.

Great time, wish we could have done more. Stayed at the Loch Tay Highland lodges, my 10 year old son and I did two sessions of the Axe throwing which was very enjoyable. We also took our first lesson in paddle boarding, which my son enjoyed so much, not sure if it was the boarding which he took to like a duck to water, or his 50 year old dad trying to get into a wesuit! Great team and very knowledgeable and friendly.

Discovery gorge walking Took my children on the discovery gorge walking to introduce them to this activity. My 7 year old was really apprehensive but soon was doing everything and excitedly telling it me how amazing and fun it was! Great wee day out Booked one hour thirty minute paddle board introduction for myself and my wife. We didn’t know quite what to expect and I have to say it was great fun. Both in our 50’s and we walked away laughing. The instructor was excellent and up for a laugh. Great wee day out.

Loved the gorge walk We had a session of gorge walking with Richie and had a brilliant time. The session was just right for a 6 year old and we all had fun. We felt really safe but enjoyed the tricky bits climbing up the waterfalls.

Great fun and well run. We went for a family archery session. We were a bit last minute but the instructor was super accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed the archery and the instructor was excellent, he kept us right and helped us hone our "skills"! The setting was stunning, down on the banks of the loch. We did archery, canoeing, gorge walking and rented a boat for a morning. Instruction was clear and instructors really knew their stuff and made it all fun and enjoyable. We had a great time doing the 2 hour gorge walk. Our instructor Callum was very friendly and encouraging and were lucky that there had been a lot of recent rainfall to make the adventure even more exciting! I would highly recommend for families.

We were staying in a pod in Loch Tsy so we booked Segway for fun. It was brilliant! Lots of hills and different terrain to explore. The coach was really welcoming and took us all over the estate. It was a small group of 4 so very personalised service. Would definitely book again as this was great fun.

We had 2 days of adventures at Loch Tay during which we tried canoeing and archery, our instructor Shannon was fantastic! She made both experiences so much fun, despite the fact that we were beginners and definitely not naturals at canoeing! She still managed to tell us about local wildlife and sights and get us safely back to dry land. I also went on a 2 hour gorge walk and despite my nerves I enjoyed it so much I want to try it again! Instructors Tim and Shannon made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience! We will definitely be back for more

Great place and lots of fun had

Originally, my partner and I were booked to go canoeing on the loch, but it was cancelled due to high winds. Instead, we were offered a two-hour Gorge Walk which did not disappoint! Afterwards we jumped onto the loch (very cold but worth it!). Tim was an excellent instructor in our small group, he's very experienced and certainly taught us some interesting facts along the way. We thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Loch Tay ! Thanks Tim!

I've been coming to Loch Tay Highland Lodges for over 35 years now, mostly as an angler hiring the fishing boats. Whilst it has grown as a business hugely the fishing boats are very well cared for and staff are as lovely as ever. Great restaurant on site as well now. One day I'll catch a salmon!

Highly Recommend TreeZone This was our first time at TreeZone and we would highly recommend it. The staff were amazing, they made you feel safe and confident and were on hand if you needed them. Both tree courses were brilliant. Our children wanted to complete them again. We had so much fun and will definitely return.

Expensive for what it is Well thought out track. Says 1hr 30 but really only about 30 mins. Expensive for the duration. You only get 1 go rou d and it's £10 extra for another go round

Challenging courses Me and my nine year old son did both of the courses. It's the most challenging of similar treetop obstacle courses that we've done. Our favourite was ziplining into the cargo net! This course is a great challenge for all ages - we will definitely visit again!

Excellent experience at treezone Aviemore this morning. The staff were so friendly and helpful. My daughter who was very keen to participate had a really challenging time once she was up on the course but Greg was quick to respond and supported her the rest of the way through so she could still come away feeling proud of herself. There was no rushing, only positive encouragement the entire time. Fin another staff, came to support the rest of the group and added fun and enthusiasm to make the whole experience fantastic. Amazing Staff!!! - Older kids (ages 12/13) good challenge for them and they loved it, but my 8 year old although tall enough, with shorter arms & legs found some of the obstacles a bit tricky. This is where Emily saved the day- she encouraged and helped when needed as was a complete hero getting my child to the end of the course and to the zip line! Couldn't have done it without Emily's patience and unwavering positivity. Thankyou - definitely above and beyond service.

The kids flew round the course in no time like ninjas and absolutely loved it. I took quite a bit longer but the staff are absolutely incredible and will assist you by shouting hints and encouragement or actually coming up onto the obstacles to help or bring you down to the group if needed. We weren't rushed at all and though it is a formidable physical and mental challenge to get round the course it's well worth having a go.

Great experience for all Visited Tree Zone with my 13yo son who was super keen and had a blast. I was up there to keep him company (mum points!) and face my fears! Staff were so lovely and kind and supportive at wobbly moments for us both (me mainly!) but all encouragement was greatly appreciated and made such a difference to keep going! Safety briefing and attention all the way through was thorough and reassuring. Great feeling of accomplishment and wahoo! on the zip line back down. Thanks to all who made this a memorable trip!

Great fun for kids and adults

This week my 14 and 12 year old children returned to Treezone for the 3rd time. They loved the challenge yet again. The instructor was very enthusiastic and helpful. This is a super activity for adventure seekers.

Great fun if you like a challenge at height Visited last week with our boys 10 and 8. Our eldest Cameron loves Treezone and has now completed both courses 3 times. Our youngest James has been desperate to have a go and finally turned 8 earlier this year so booked for him, his brother and their Dad. I could tell from the ground James was nervous but the staff who were with us Ebony on the ground and Andy up in the course were fantastic. Ebony was fab at encouraging James and despite him being slow and freezing at one point he was never made to feel like he had to hurry up and when Andy started to make his way to check on him that seemed to give James the incentive to be brave and carry on, he wanted to complete the course on his own. Both staff were great at giving the boys confidence boosts with their encouragement and kind words.

Treezone Aviemore - well organised, safe and really enjoyable. Charlie was great with my youngest Rosie when she was unsure on the buzzard trail, supporting and encouraging for the remaining trail. Throughly recommend

Exciting and Challenging Experience in a great location. I spent the afternoon here with my 12 year old son Jack! The first course is fairly easy and once completed you move to the harder course which may I add is much more challenging!! This was great fun and Jack found the first couple easy but nearer the end he found the last obstacle's a bit daunting but with the calm and very encouraging staff member Andy he managed to get to the last one where the prize is a fun zip wire to the end!! Thank you Andy you made Jacks day. All staff were very helpful and appear well trained with safety first!!

My 10 year old son did this on his own and absolutely loved it. We just walked round the route with him and gave him a bit of encouragement every now and then. The staff were all really friendly and I felt completely at ease letting him go solo. I would highly recommend.

Another Memorable Treezone Visit A fabulous visit to Treezone with family. A fun few hours with enthusiastic and friendly instruction. A very safe environment and so much fun and laughter by all. Highly recommended and easily accessible. Staff were so helpful and made the visit very memorable. Thankyou to all.

A great course, well run

Our kids had a great time (11&16) despite our youngest being anxious at the start she was put at ease and under no pressure by staff and they helped with advise and support around the course. After building up confidence on the smaller section they both opted to try the higher course and completed it within the 2 hour allocated slot. We were lucky with the weather as it had been wet in the morning but dried up. A really fun & challenging activity, highly recommended, and a big thanks to Andi for his ongoing encouragement! We’ll be back and recommend to others 😊👍

It's a must! We went as a family of 4, with no experience, but we had an excellent time, thanks to the instructors' patience and great sense of humour (Danny, Chris and Andy). Would highly recommend and defo will return!!!

A great high ropes course A great high ropes course with amazing instructors. I absolutely loved the buzzard course with its fun obstacles! I would definitely come here again.

What a great experience! The staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times. The course is amazing, a couple of really challenging obstacles, but we made it. Well worth a visit, or two!

A really fun experience for a 10th birthday treat, just the right amount of scary and exhilarating but clearly very safe and well run too!

Treezone was amazing!! Andy was helpful, friendly and supportive at the beginning getting us into our harness and safety talk.giving tips and great with the kids, supportive of nervous parents! He was there throughout our way round. I am not great with heights but had gone on due to child loving the idea! I quickly found my fear was still real 🤣🙈 but Dan was around below to guide me through each station with encouragement and pointers. He didn't hurry me but also made sure I managed to 💪 smash each station once I was on it! I won't have got round without him! The was another helper on the larger trail (only my child/other children went on!) Who name I didn't catch but was also very helpful to guide the children through higher parts if they needed it. Safety at all times. Also they climb and check trail every day I was told so they all know the in and out of it too! Overall a 10/10 for cost and experience! We were lucky to get lovely weather and autumn 🍂 leaves colours with sun coming through too ✨️❤️👌!! (Especially as it had been storm/rain on run up) Check out other element there too. We borrowed bikes the next day and staff equally helpful. Will definitely return!! 💯 Our first time to aviemore and a great 1st and 2nd day to the hols!

Family fun- safe but challenging ! Loved it. Great experience all round. Andy our instructor was fantastic - professional, encouraging and very personable. I booked to join in with my three kids. The youngest and I managed two circuits on the introductory course; the older two- ages 10 & 13 nailed the Buzzard. We all left with huge smiles and a real sense of achievement . My daughter went to bed this evening telling me she’d had one of the best days ever! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Family Treezone experience A fun, family experience that will challenge your fitness and stamina. Our ages ranged from 10 to 54 years and was greatly enjoyed by all. Highly recommend.

My daughter loved the treezone adventure. Having visited a few times before and having only done the short course she wanted to tackle the harder course. Difficult course but manageable and the instructors were great with encouraging shouts and tips to get round. Would def recommend as long as you’re not scared of heights and have some upper body strength as it’s quite strenuous.

Great experience! Really friendly and helpful staff. The smaller course was great, and bigger course had its challenges - but I made it with a some help! Zip-line at the end was a great way to finish 🙂

Challenging but great fun

Great place, lots of fun Great activity. Lots of fun. Got left behind by my son until he waited for me but I made it! Very rewarding to have done it and lovely to be up in the trees. Staff are lovely and very helpful and encouraging.

So much fun! The instructors were great, always felt safe whilst still getting to push ourselves. Even good in the drizzle 😁

A very nice place 5 minutes from Aviemore we discovered by chance via goole maps. The only downside is it has only two routes and they are pretty short, which was pretty disappointing. I wish they could add more courses or expand those two.

I went to TreeZone with my partner during our road trip around Scotland a few days ago and had the most wonderful time. Finn was particularly helpful throughout our whole experience, he assisted when needed and was always there to help calm the nerves with light hearted jokes and tips and tricks on how to tackle the course. All the staff are wonderful and are willing to help out with a smiling face no matter what, I highly recommend for everyone to visit TreeZone!

I brought a school group of 12 kifs. We found it very safe, and the staff were reassuring and explained everything about the harnesses and systems. They also guided, helped and 'saved' more than one of my students who were too scared, or had got tired. We went today in quite wet conditions, but it was still fine to do.

Great adventure 1-1.5 hours to get round. Just expensive. £140 for 4 adults

Fantastic place , staff were great, when you see what’s involved and staff levels needed there, for a safe experience, it’s excellent value for money, we were there around 1.5 hours, my daughter who is 11 loved it 😊

Ouch. Blistered hands. My child got 5 blisters, with blood, on one hand (rope burn), after slipping up on the ropes near the start of the "big" course.They did enjoy the zip wire at the end but nevertheless said they would not want to go to this venue again. Have been on other similar activities (Go Ape, Landmark) without this issue. Suggest gloves could be offered to participants, however even with gloves my child would not want to come again. Most people seemed to be having a great time, so I guess we were unlucky; however would not go again.

Exciting adventure, perfect for families. A lovely couple of hours on a sunny day, with nice views of the river if you can take your eyes off the rope! Staff were professional and helpful, especially Andy who took the time to have a chat with each member of our party at the top of the zipwire, which eased nerves a lot. Not the hardest course technically but perfect for families. A little queuing due to a small child wanting to come off the course, but this was again dealt with quickly by staff and didn't detract from the overall experience. Very close to Rothiemurchus Visitor Centre too, so well positioned for an ice cream afterwards. Highly recommend.

A great day out! We had an amazing time! All the staff were excellent, very helpful, friendly, encouraging and knowledgeable. I went with my two children 12 & 9 and they both enjoyed and managed the two courses with ease. The safety brief made us feel safe and harnesses checked over and ensured we were comfortable. Highly recommend this and we’ll definitely be back.

Great exciting experience Did this today with my young son, instructors were young but very friendly and knowledgable. I managed only one round on the ‘easier’ route before I bailed out ( the wobbly ankles and fears got a hold !) , my son however careered on with the typical “no fear” attitude of young kids and had an absolute ball completing the whole route! I think it was ?Elise, Fergus and Poppy today - thanks for the encouragement 😁 we will definitely be back .

A good experience, very high! This was a very good experience for a family with teens. I do not like heights but was assured by the thorough safety briefing and by the time I had worked my way around the smaller course, I was confident to take on the bigger course. The whole experience took about 1.5 hours, the zip line at the end was a great finisher and the best/quickest way to get back to solid ground! 10% discount for NHS/blue light workers (thank you).

Great (aka terrifying) course, knees were knocking the whole way round but managed to surge through. Elena made everything clear and consise, easy to follow and felt completely safe. Nice to know the staff get to enjoy the course too - shout out to Finn for the record time. Cheers all!

Friendly and professional staff and an exciting climbing course with some good challenges. We've been to Go Ape a few times but Treezone has a better system for safety clipping (you never have to bother clipping in/out, you're always attached to the safety line) - would say this is better than Go Ape. Thanks for a fab time!

Took the kids for a visit to Treezone and they absolutely loved it. Well staffed, good equipment, all felt extremely safe and professional. Large selection of obstacles with a lower course for everyone, and a higher course to complete if you require no assistance on the first lot. You can go round the lower course twice if the higher one isn't for you. Some parts of the high course are a good 40 feet up, I was surprised at that. Takes an hour or so to complete the whole thing but depends on ability. If you do make it to the end of the high course there's a 100m zip wire to enjoy. All in all a superb day out for the kids. Great for those who have a head for heights and a keen sense of balance.

Must be our eighth time here. Great staff, cool course and a good way to spend an hour. It’s HARD if you aren’t strong/fit enough though.
