Power Boat Hire on Loch Tay

At Loch Tay Highland Lodges there are 2 types of boat available to hire for pleasure trips on the Loch
Loch Tay Highland Lodge’s Pebble Boats only have a 4hp outboard engine and are tiller-steered from the engine itself. These have a maximum carrying capacity of 4 people and are fine for a slow potter around the loch. Dogs are allowed on boats.
The Cruisers have 10hp engines, a maxiumum capacity of 6 people and have a steering console at the cabin, so much more intuitive for folks with no experience to drive. Given the bigger engine, these are a better bet for really exploring Loch Tay for picnics and sightseeing.
Important: whilst there is no minimum age for going on the powerboats, everyone on board (children included) must be able to fit into a buoyancy aid. Our smallest buoyancy aid is designed to fit children weighing 20-40kg with a chest size of 55-65cm (22-26 inches).
Hire costs include buoyancy aids (compulsory for all), one tank of fuel.
Boats are available from 9:30am to 4.00pm. You can return them sooner than 4:00pm if required. Half-day rates are not available.
There is no need for you to be staying at Loch Tay Highland Lodges to hire a boat, non-residents more than welcome.
