Beautiful, challenging adventure! More than worth it!

I booked on as a solo traveler wanting to get back outside, learning new skills, and meet new people. This was one of the best experiences of my life. Learning to work as a team both in your own canoe or with the other canoes in the group was incredible. Wild camping at night in all of the weather conditions Scotland could possibly throw at you was definitely an experience. There could be no better views of the Highlands than paddling your way across the lochs and canals during the day and wandering the lovely wild areas in the evening. It's a fantastic physical and mental challenge across the board but one well worth it in every aspect. Our guide Jenny was unparalleled no matter what situation was thrown her way; she's a true guide, leader, and phenomenal person! I would rate the experience above 5 stars if I could. I will definitely be booking more adventures with them soon!

A great workout for the mind, body and soul!

From the start where Mike and Jenny met us at the pickup point to the end where we left with memories and a few new friends, the experience was one I will never forget. Organisation and equipment provided was second to none. The paddling was hard on the body to begin with but very quickly your body adjusts and recovers. The amount of time paddling each day varies and Jenny our guide adjusted it based on how the group was doing day by day and also the prevailing weather conditions. Getting involved with setting up camp, lighting fires and helping prepare food added to the experience and fun. The views were amazing (rain or shine) so don't forget to bring a camera or smartphone in a waterproof case. Also don't forget to bring midge spray or hat and plenty of warm layers. Looking forward to another trip with the IYE team 🙂

Amazing 5 days which shouldn't be missed

From the moment we were picked up in Inverness, Mike, our guide was the perfect host, he was knowledgeable, organised, relaxed and a pleasure to spend the 5 days with. Nothing was too much trouble and the meals were beyond any expectation for wild camping with hot breakfasts, good selection for lunches and 3 course dinners cooked every evening. (life doesn't get better than moules mariniere and wine on a pebble beach on the shore of Loch Ness). The wild camping spots picked were all excellent, secluded and with beautiful views. The views are superb from start to finish from the canoe with the bonus of being able to hike to some waterfalls. This trip would be ideal for both Couples, Groups and Solo adventurers alike and by the end left with both great memories and new friends

Amazing 5 days - do it!

I had an amazing five days canoeing from Fort William to Inverness. Mike was a brilliant guide both canoeing and in camp, I have never had such amazing food camping! I'm veggie and the food was great. The canoeing was brilliant fun, the scenery beautiful and the camping spots excellent. I especially loved sailing the canoe up Loch Ness. I would definitely recommend this trip, and would do another trip with In Your Element!
