Why not come and try the ancient and noble pastime of target archery in this spectacular setting on the shores of Loch Long. This skilful sport requires balance, poise, accuracy, timing and vision. It also gives a great sense of satisfaction – especially when you hit the bull’s-eye!
This archery session takes place at the Forest Holidays retreat at Ardgartan, it’s the perfect group fun activity for all the family. Our expert instructors ensure that whether you are a novice or experienced archer, you have a really fun and enjoyable time.
It’s great fun whether you are on your own or with friends or family. Our exciting target games and friendly competitions make sure everyone has a memorable experience.
For individuals and small groups, scheduled sessions are available to book here online during the season. Private group bookings are also available and can be quoted on request at other times (subject to a minimum booking fee of £290). Please note, there is no need for you to be staying at Forest Holidays to take part, non residents more than welcome.

I pre-booked this as part of my holiday at forest holidays Ardgartan, Argyll. I would recommend taking walking or Wellington boots as the field is muddy. With the correct shoes strap in for an hour's worth of hurling arrows.
The instruction was clear and advice appreciated. Don't expect to hit the middle at first. But even I hit the yellow a few times 🙂
