Powerboat Hire (for fishing or non-fishing)
At Loch Tay Highland Lodges we have 2 types of boat available to hire for pleasure trips on the Loch and for fishing.
Our Pebble Boats only have a 4hp outboard engine and are tiller-steered from the engine itself. These have a maximum carrying capacity of 4 people and are fine for a slow potter around the loch. They can be hired with or without fishing permits.
Our Cruisers have 10hp engines, a maxiumum capacity of 6 people and have a steering console at the cabin, so much more intuitive for folks with no experience to drive. Given the bigger engine, these are a better bet for really exploring Loch Tay for picnics and sightseeing.
Hire costs include buoyancy aids (compulsory for all) and one tank of fuel. Note that our buoyancy aids suit age 3+.
Prices:
Pebble Boats (4-person) Full Day: £80
Cruisers (6-person) Full Day: £115
Boats are available between 9:00am and 4.00pm.
For more information on rules and regulations on fishing on Loch Tay, see the Fishing in the Trossachs website.
